Taxi Transfers To and From Ngurah Rai Airport

At the Domestic Terminal, passengers arriving at Ngurah Rai International Airport will find the taxi counter just after the exit of the arrivals hall. Simply walk through the sliding glass doors and the taxi counter is to your right.

At the International Terminal, passengers arriving in Bali will find the taxi counter directly next to the Information Desk, after they have passed through the Duty Free shopping arcade.

Denpasar is located some 13 km distance from the airport, while the town of Kuta is even closer: just 2.5 km from Bali's airport. Although there are public buses serving the island, there is no satisfactory airport shuttle transfer to some of the main tourist destinations, such as Ubud for example. Bus services are slow on some lines and for some destinations passengers have to change onto other lines to get to their holiday resort. Some of the larger resorts will provide shuttles to their hotels though.

Taxis are fairly cheap, operating both on a fixed price and metered principle. Some taxi companies charge as little as Rp 250,000 to Rp 300,000 for single trips to Ubud (exchange rate as at December 2018, Rp 1 = GBP 0.000055 or US$ 0.00069).

Travelling to Kuta from Ngurah Rai International Airport costs around GBP 4.91 or US$ 6.18. A trip to Jimbaran costs ca. GBP 6.00 or US$ 8.00, while a trip to Legian, Seminyak, Kerobokan, Denpasar or Sanur costs somewhere in the region of GBP 8.00 or US$ 10.00.

A trip to Nusa Dua, Uluwatu Temple area or Tanjung Benoa costs around GBP 9.00 or US$ 11.50. Travelling to popular Lovina Beach, Amed coast, Kintamani or Singaraja costs around Rp 560,000 or GBP 30/US$38.

Taxi companies use people carriers like the Peugeot 5008 or vehicles like the Toyota Avanza or Skodas and Suzukis to transfer tourists from Bali Airport to their chosen holiday destinations. Fixed prices quoted are typically for 3 to 4 passengers. Only one piece of luggage is permitted per passenger. Child seats are usually available on request and vehicles are air-conditioned. Not all companies offer the same type of "Meet & Greet" service, when you pre-book your taxi online. Some will wait up to two hours after the arrival of your flight, others will wait just 60 minutes with a board showing your name.
